Highlights on the arlberg

Winter in St. Anton am Arlberg has plenty to offer away from the slopes as well. Throughout the season, sporting highlights, music events and special occasions provide plenty of variety.

The winter season kicks off with the Stanton Ski Open from 4 to 6 December 2026. In January, highlights include the Arlberg New Year’s Concert, while the spectacular ski show “Schneetreiben – The Snow must go on” takes place every Wednesday evening from January at the Karl Schranz finish stadium. The multimedia show takes you on a journey through the history and development of skiing – admission is free.

One of the biggest highlights at the end of the season is one of the Arlberg’s most famous events: “Der Weiße Rausch” on 17 April 2027. Hundreds of skiers start together from the Vallugagrat and take part in the legendary race down to St. Anton.
